The winners of the 2018 Showcase Awards for Excellence in Schools were recently announced at a gala awards dinner in Brisbane, Australia on behalf of the Government of Queensland.

iSee would like to congratulate all of the winners and finalists that have shown such a great commitment to creating innovative learning environments and generating opportunities for the young people of Queensland.

To our delight, iSee has figured prominently at the awards. Two great programs have been recognised that iSee's next generation virtual teams platform to deliver cutting edge and engaging programs to students in rural and regional areas.

Advancing Education for a Global Tropics Future has taken out the 2018 Showcase Award for Excellence in Industry Partnerships. The project is a partnership between the Thuringowa State High School and James Cook University and focuses on bringing exciting challenge based learning activities to students across the cast reaches of northern Australia.

The Breaching the disadvantage of distance project delivered by the Queensland Virtual STEM Academy was one of two finalists in the 2018 QUT Showcase Award for Excellence in Inclusive Education. The project connects students across the State of Queensland with STEM programs delivered by passionate and talented STEM teachers, ensuring that all young people in Queensland have access to high quality opportunities in STEM careers.

We tip our hat to all the finalists and celebrate the passion and dedication shown by the teachers of Queensland in innovating their teaching to bring better outcomes for students.
